Deliverables
The AQUEDUCT research activities are structured into four complementary Work Packages (WPs), covering field-scale observations, catchment-scale water accounting, and stakeholder-driven evaluation under water scarcity conditions.
WP0 – Leading and managing the project
This involves coordination activities, networking between scientific partners and communicating with the PRIMA teams, with PRIMA-IS, with funding agencies and with institutions. It also ensures the smooth progress of the project..

WP1 – Local-Scale Water Characterisation
Designing and implementing tools and methods to characterise, understand, and quantify water resources, fluxes, and uses at the field and stand scale across the main Mediterranean agrosystems and natural ecosystems.

WP2 – Integrated Water Accounting Tools
Designing, testing, and implementing integrated water accounting tools for Mediterranean catchments, combining field data, remote sensing, and modelling approaches to support holistic water management.

WP3 – Stakeholder-Driven Evaluation
Evaluating innovative water accounting approaches with stakeholders under current and future water shortage scenarios, ensuring relevance for decision-making and policy support.

WP4 – Catchment-Scale Water Accounting
Applying and validating water accounting methods in representative Mediterranean catchments, accounting for interactions between agriculture, ecosystems, and other water users.

WP5– Disseminating
Actions are conducted to raise awareness of stakeholders, based on real study cases, to the benefit of water accounts, and especially water interconnectedness accounts, in building and implementing tactical and strategic collective decisions to address water scarcity. Capacity building is also performed for all scientific teams involved in the project, based on actions for exchanging and testing ideas, approaches, methods, models, technology… designed along with for training.
